Manifesto
Democratisation of Scottish Society
1. Workers committees to oversee the running of public services such
as housing, health and to include businesses and collective ownership.
2. Phasing in of co-operatives in agriculture, business and commerce.
3. Workers militias to replace the forces of the crown in the police and
to protect the public from criminals and clean the streets of crime
and drug gangs.
4. Workers militia to be headed by Scottish intelligence Bureau for Defence of the Revolution (SBDR).
5. Youth movement structure to facilitate needs of the young for social interaction within society to include their active participation on the streets while having responsibility for developing interest in youth culture, youth media, sport and recreation and peer support. Youth movement to oversee running of youth work and youth educational services at local level within regions. Youth delegates elected to regional coucils of the Peoples Revolution..
6. State artwork for the Revolution to replace vandalism and
graffiti and heavy penalties for litter on the streets.
7. Media - TV, Radio and General Press to be state funded and state owned while a media watchdog or committee for the Revolution to monitor media output.
8. Internet access to www to be restricted initially but subject to Revolutionary committee review.
9. An end to bourgeois parliamentary democracy to be replaced by Direct Democracy and the election of representatives of the people from Workers committees to regional councils of the Peoples Revolution
Domestic & Foreign Policy Initiatives
1. The flying of the Saltire on all public buildings to the left of the Red Flag of the Revolution. Public dispay of imperialist flags such as the Union Jack to be punishable by financial penalty and imprisonment for repeated breaches of the Scottish Nation's sovereignty and freedom.
2. To Smash the British state with the end to powers over Celtic lands by the Queen of England rule with her Crown powers in law, police and the security services.
3. Celtic Freedom and Socialist Republics for the small nations to include the Basques.
4. An immediate referendum for Scottish independence and referenda
for the peoples of the island of Ireland by way of an all-Ireland vote to end
partition and English rule in that country.
5. International non-aligned Socialist Republics in an Alliance against
global imperialism.
6. England's right to their own Socialist Republic and to finish
Saxon, British or U.S imperialism with an end to their global
domination, invasion, occupation or interference of foreign lands.
7. No Scottish diplomatic ties with countries or imperial powers who invade, attack or threaten foreign lands.
Complete Independence
1. Support for a referendum and campaign for Scottish independence.
2. Complete recognition of the Declaration of Calton Hill 2004 written document and for it to be an annual event.
3. The establishment of a Proclamation for a Scottish Socialist Republic to be presented outside Westminster and Holyrood as a statement of intent to establish a Socialist Republic in Scotland.
4. Support for the Scottish Independence Convention.
5. Support for complete Scottish independence and recognition that the National Conversation White Paper drawn up by the Scottish government is insufficient for complete Scottish Freedom so thereby reject any content in the publication such as retention of the queen of England as head of state in Scotland and call for the ending of the Union of the Crowns 1603 in Scotland.
6. Support for greater powers to the Scottish parliament that are democratically implemented from Westminster as part of the unstoppable process towards Scottish independence.
7. A nuclear-free Scotland that rejects NATO membership.
8. Rejection of the EU constitution or participation in that capitalist union.
9. Membership only of a Celtic Confederation to strengthen social, cultural and economic ties etc..
10. That the need for independence should be complete and not subservient to the demand for a socialist society that socialism and independence are at all times given equal consideration in building a New Scotland.
Referendum
1. An immediate referendum for Scottish independence and referenda
for the peoples of the island of Ireland on an all-Ireland vote to end
partition and English rule in that country.
Nationalisation
1. Nationalise the top 100 monopolies and banks to prevent finance companies and fat cats controling and bleeding our own resources.
Health
1. A democratic Scottish NHS with elected Health Boards and the involvement of trade unions and local communities in the planning and management of health care.
2. An end to PFI including all private contractors in NHS hospitals. End Private Health Care.
3. Free Public Health Service funded by the state Scottish treasury
only.
4. The abolition of prescription charges, eye test charges and dental check-up charges.
5. Heavily funded research into autism, alzheimers and cancer and most common illnesses or disease.
6. Research and funding into preventative measures to tackle ill health.
7. Regular quartley health checks and screening at local doctors for everyone over age 50 years.
8. Funding and education to prevent avoidable serious illnesses such as AIDS.
9. Free Basic First Aid training offered to the whole population.
10. Nationalisation of drug companies overseen by public and
independent research in all medicine before being available to the
peoples on the market.
11. Comprehensive scientific research into alternative medicines, treatment and therapies.
Housing
1. An end to Private Housing by introducing state-owned leased property only based
on low rents and rebates for the poor.
2. Long term tenants in rented accommodation to be awarded discounts determined by length of stay in current accommodation.
3. Housing to be overseen by representative government funded workers committees at community, district and national level.
4. The introduction of a Tenants Peoples Charter of Rights for Tenants.
5. End to reasons for fuel poverty with a national programme to bring all public property up to acceptable standard in basic structural, heating and insulation requirements.
6. End to home dwellings that exceeds two storeys in height.
7. Families to be encouraged to take property with a garden which they must be offered.
8. A point system for re-housing based firstly on need and secondly on term of tenure in existing property. Gaelic speakers to get additional points for housing in Gaelic speaking areas such as exist in Western Isles in Outer Hebrides.
9. Due to the shortage in affordable rented social housing caused by capitalism a national building programme introduced and demolation of unsuitable below standard housing and high rise or multi blocks.
